- Payment is requested on the day and may be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card.
- A HICAPS machine is available for “on the spot” claims if you have Private Health Insurance which covers Dietetics appointments. The rebate varies with each private health insurance company, so it may be wise to check this before you attend.
- In some special situations the doctor will arrange a referral via a Care Plan if you have a Chronic Condition. This is called a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan Plan(GPCCMP). The full fee must be paid on the day of your appointment and a Medicare rebate of approximately $62 applies for each session (Up to 5 per calendar year in total for the allied health professional(s) named in your Care Plan). If you have reached the Medicare threshold for the year, your rebate will be higher. We can claim your rebate on the day and have it transferred into your cheque or savings account OR we can claim online for you the next day OR you can take a receipt and claim it yourself.
- Veterans Affairs and NDIS referrals can be accepted but please note that prior approval is needed (arranged via your doctor or case manager) before the appointment can be made.
Cancellations
Please note if you are unable to attend your appointment, 24 hours notice is required. This allows us to reschedule clients who may be waiting.
A fee may be charged unless adequate notification is given.
